Bloks vs MausBot
Close cousins: both are desktop apps that run the AI tools you already pay for as a roster of agents shown like contacts, with rooms and computers of their own. They differ on undo, memory, chat apps, the phone and licence.
- Bloks ahead on 3
- MausBot ahead on 1
- Even on 11

- You want approvals by default, rules in a sentence, and undo on what agents change.
- You want long-term memory as files you can read and edit.

- You want an iPhone and Apple Watch app from the App Store, reaching your computer from anywhere with Bloks Cloud.

Choose MausBot if
- You want an Apache 2.0 licence today.
- You want Android as well as iPhone companion apps.

Safety: approvals and undo
BloksBetter
An agent in Bloks asks before it acts, unless you tell it not to, and you can write rules in a sentence ("never push to main"). Choose how careful each agent is, from Ask first to Full access. Before every turn Bloks takes a snapshot of the agent's folder, so what it changed shows under the reply with one Undo button. A conversation can be rewound with its files, branched from any answer, or rehearsed first on a copy. Work that should not touch your machine can run in a Docker container or on another machine over SSH.

MausBot
MausBot shows shell commands, file edits and questions as Allow and Deny cards in the chat, and its own site says how much is covered depends on the engine and the tool. A local sandbox is not described; a local VM is an option. An undo for what a bot changed is not published.
Memory and privacy
BloksBetter
What each agent remembers is plain Markdown in its own folder: MEMORY.md and topic notes you can open, edit and back up. Every change to memory is kept in a journal with its diff and an undo, and memory is tidied once a night. Conversations and memory stay on your computer, and the app sends no analytics.

MausBot
Each MausBot bot remembers its own thread, and transcripts, keys and events are kept in a folder in your home directory. Long-term memory you can read or edit is not published. Transcripts, credentials and screen images stay on your computer, and its hosted service keeps only account details.
Where MausBot is ahead
Bloks
Bloks's source is public under the Functional Source License, free for any use except selling Bloks, and each release becomes MIT two years after it ships. Bloks for Android is coming. Managed hosting keeps agents on when your laptop is closed.
MausBotBetter
MausBot is Apache 2.0 today, apart from one source-available folder, and has a large following on GitHub. It has an Android app beside its iPhone app, hosted cloud machines priced by computer-hours with plans for teams of up to 20, and a self-hosted Business tier. Teams can be brought in from Markdown, BotMRR or a GitHub link. If those matter most, they are real reasons to choose it.
