Before you choose.
Is Bloks really free?
Yes. The desktop app is free, with no limit on agents, no expiry and no trial, and every feature is in it. The plans pay for things we run for you, never for features held back from the app.
Do I need my own AI keys?
You need an AI, and you choose where it comes from. An AI plan you already pay for works, and so does an API key from any provider, or a model running on your own machine. Rather skip all of that? Bloks AI is an AI model that combines fine-tuned mid-tier and frontier intelligence, with no keys and nothing to sign in to, on its own or added to a plan. It runs on Bloks's own engine. Claude Code always runs on your own Claude plan or API key.
What runs where?
Without Hosting, everything runs on your machine: your agents, their files, your conversations and your keys. Cloud and Team add a relay we run, which carries sealed messages between your machine, your phone and a browser, and cannot read them. Bloks AI, if you pick it, is the one part of your AI that runs through us. Hosting moves your agents onto a private machine we run for you.
What happens when I close my laptop?
Without Hosting, your agents pause while your machine sleeps, and routines that come due then are skipped. Cloud and Team let you reach your machine from anywhere; they do not run your agents somewhere else. Hosting is the plan that keeps them working.
What does Hosting mean, in plain words?
Your agents get a computer of their own, which we run for you: a private machine with 4 GB, never shared with anyone. You still use them from the desktop app, your iPhone or a browser, as before. It adds onto Cloud or Team and is not sold alone. Hosting Lite sleeps when nothing is happening and wakes in seconds for a message, a routine or a watcher; Hosting Standard is always on. Hosting Standard, Bloks Hosted and Bloks Team Hosted are on sale now; Hosting Lite is coming soon.
Do the people I invite need to pay?
No. People you invite never need an account or a plan of their own: everyone you bring in is covered by your Bloks Team plan. They join from the free app, and a shared room from a browser too.
Can I change plans, or cancel?
Yes. Move from Cloud to Team, or add Bloks AI or Hosting, on the key you already have: change your plan. To cancel, open Settings, Plan in the Bloks app and choose Manage billing, or email support@bloks.dev. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. No retention flow, no dropdown asking why.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your agents, conversations and files live on your machine, so ending a plan takes away reach, not your work, and the free app carries on with all of it. On Team, members are paused, never removed, and come back with the plan. A Hosting machine is stopped three days after Hosting ends and deleted thirty days later; come back before then and you get the same machine back.
What if I run out of Bloks AI?
A top-up adds another month's worth, $20 once, and it carries over until it is used. Either way the allowance fills up again at the start of every month.
